Now that we’re almost into the spring season, I thought it was time for another review of my fave up-and-coming accessory trends. If you’re anything like me, you love to stay in style with the latest trends and fashions, and accessories are no different.
I’ve broken this review down into jewelry, purses, and shoes.
This season you’ll see people rocking lots of bold colors, sparkles, and bohemian vibes too.
Here are the hottest jewelry trends for Spring 2020!
Bright & Colorful
From bright yellow gemstones to neon beads, jewelry with a pop of color will be one of the biggest trends to get after. And even better, you don’t have to worry about having matching pieces all in the same color, mix and match the colors and pieces.
The bigger, the better right? This spring, we’re going to be seeing lots of oversized chains. Whether it’s chunky chain earrings, necklaces, or bracelets, don’t shy away from making a statement with chunky chains!
I’ve written about these before, but pearls are still in. They are super girly and ultra feminine, so don’t shy away from them if you want to look extra dainty and delicate. But this doesn’t mean you have to wear pearl studs or a full pearl necklace — this spring, it’s all about pearls getting incorporated as one part of a piece of jewelry.
Hoops have been in for awhile now, and they don’t seem to be going anywhere. The difference is that for spring, this trend strays a bit away from singular hoops towards different variations. There are thick hoops, double hoops, and hoops with other dangly pieces, in everything from gold to tortoise. Think of this trend as a new take on the classic gold hoop.
If you’re big into astrology, then this trend is for you. Wear your sign proud with necklaces, earrings, and pendants donning your astrology.
Bright hues combined with feathers and dangly pieces represent a very tropical vibe this spring. It’s nice to fantasize about being on vacation, right? Well you can do that with this trend, because tropical jewelry is in. This trend is all about fun, and wearing everything from sequins, beads, and feathers.
Here are the hottest purse trends for Spring 2020!
Purses & Bags:
Think of your grandma’s basketweaving, but better. This spring, expect to see woven bags everywhere.
This trend is not very realistic, but started after pop star Lizzo brought the world’s tiniest bag to the American Music Awards. There’s not room for much with this bag, so if you’re thinking about getting one you’ll have to only carry a card and a lipstick!
As you all know, I love any chance for a bit of glitz and glam — plus, you never know when you’ll need a fun party bag! From sequins to rhinestones, pick up a sparkly bag that will have you ready for a fun night out.
This is another grandma-style trend, but can be super cute if done in the right way. Crochet bags are perfect to take to the beach, and can fit all of your essentials and more.
Cotton Candy Colors
Pastel-Colored bags are in this spring, so be sure to pick up a purse in a pretty cotton candy hue.
Just like fringe clothing has been in for awhile now, bags are picking up on this trend also. This is a fun trend that will make you want to swing your purse around to see the fringe fly!
Elegant and classy all at the same time, polka dots are all the rage this season. But, stray away from back and white polka dots and experiment with fun colors that are complementary with one another.
Here are the hottest shoe trends for Spring 2020!
Just like regular boots, but a slouchy version. Whether you pair them with jean shorts or long pants, slouchy boots are a fun option that are a bit more unique than your traditional tall boot.
This trend brings athleisure to a whole new meaning — it’s finally acceptable to wear sneakers out and look fashionable at the same time. The best thing is that there are so many different options — from the “Dad sneaker” to a converse, you can choose whatever style suits you best.
Wave goodbye to triangle-toed shoes that squeeze your feet and give you blisters. Square toes are much more practical and comfy, which is why I love this trend. Whether in a flat or a heel, make sure to adopt this trend for Spring 2020.
Woven Part 2
Just like woven styles are all the rage in bags, the same goes for shoes. It’s ultra-chic basketweaving, and I personally am loving this tend.
The higher the heel the better, right? That’s my motto at least! Even though the heel is technically higher, I find platform heels more comfortable than regular heels because your foot isn’t directly against the ground.
There’s nothing more office-safe and comfy than a loafer. Coming in a variety of styles and patterns, these are a tried-and-true classic that are fashionable at the same time.
So, here are my 19 favorite trends for Spring 2020. I’d love to hear which are your favorite, and which trends you’ll be adding to your wardrobe this season. Make sure you join my Social on Facebook for all the goodies!
